We designed a storage system for the graphic design studio “TAKAIYAMA inc.”
Set within a renovated traditional house, the piece was developed to both harmonize with and subtly accentuate the existing space through composition and color. It is constructed from dark-toned tropical hardwood square timbers combined with lauan plywood, giving it a lightly “temporary” structural presence.
A blue top surface was introduced to complement the orange floor tiles and warm wood tones, while the side panels incorporate slits that allow for adjustable, insertable shelves. The entire unit can be disassembled with a hex key, enabling easy relocation and reconfiguration.
