As a new civic landmark in Kadoma City, Osaka, “KADOMADO” is an open public hub centered around a library, supporting cultural exchange, learning, and community activity. Welcoming both local residents and visitors, it functions as an accessible place that encourages gathering and connection.

We provided total direction for the interior environment, including the design of original furniture, the selection of existing pieces, and planting integration. The custom furniture was designed to feel approachable and enduring, quietly supporting everyday activities in harmony with the architecture.

The furniture was produced in collaboration with CondeHouse, the Asahikawa-based manufacturer known for wooden furniture crafted from Hokkaido timber. Working together from the proposal stage as the “CondeHouse + Tatsuki Kokubo Joint Venture,” we achieved a high level of precision throughout the design and production process.

The project was realized in 2025 after being selected as the winning proposal in a public furniture competition. We participated as a joint venture with CondeHouse the Asahikawa-based furniture manufacturer renowned for its craftsmanship in wooden furniture made from Hokkaido timber.
